Principal
August 17, 2007

I would like to take this time to express my appreciation to the cabinet and the school board of Perris Union High School District for giving me the opportunity to serve as Principal of Pinacate Middle School. I come to you very excited as I have had a chance to see the extraordinary amount of growth you have experienced over the past few years and I look forward to helping and supporting our efforts toward continuous growth.

I have worked in education for over 10 years, beginning as a middle school Language Arts teacher in 1997. Over the past 2 years I have had the wonderful experience of serving as an Assistant Principal at Perris High School. I love working with people and enjoy bringing out the best in our children.

I believe all students can learn when given an environment that is conductive for education and I look forward to ensuring that the climate of Pinacate is one in which can be described as a “culture of care.” This is an environment where all members deeply care about our school and deeply care about our students. In addition to this, an intricate part of a “culture of care” is that accountability of the learning process is at the forefront of all that we do.

We look forward to continuing to have coffee with administration the last Wednesday of the month at 9:30a.m. so that parents can have a venue to communicate their concerns. Please feel free to stop by my office and introduce yourself to me and once again I am excited to be a part of the Pinacate family!!!

Sincerely,
Charles A. Newman, Principal
