About

Greeting Pinacate Families

My name is Mrs. Jones and I am your new Principal here at Pinacate Middle School. Although the Principal’s position is new to me, I am no stranger to Pinacate Middle School and the community of Perris. I began my journey here in 2008 where I was a math teacher who has had the pleasure of teaching students for 5 years. In 2013, I became an Assistant Principal where I was able to serve the families of Pinacate in a different capacity. I was able to make great relationships with parents and be of service to them and their student(s). During these years and both positions, I have always been focused on Pinacate students academic achievement and their social and emotional well being. Moving forward my focus will continue to be the success of Pinacate students and making sure they are receiving the best instructional practices to prepare them for the next level. I will also focus on maintaining a safe environment for them both physically and emotionally and I will continue to support and provide opportunities for them to stay connected through sport, clubs and academic enrichment.

As your new principal, I want to invite all parents to be apart of their child middle school experience. Please do not ever hesitate to join us. We have a Parent Center available where you can serve in whatever capacity you desire. Come join us for our PELI (Parent Engagement Leadership Initiative), ELAC (English Learner Advisory Committee), SSC (School Site Council), AAPAC (African American Parent Advisory Council) or PTSA (Parent Teacher Student Association) meetings to have your voice heard or if you just want to help out by assisting teachers in their preparation to teach our students, that is available too.

Pinacate Middle School has so much to offer that the community is not aware of and it’s time for your students hard work and efforts to shine. Did you know that Pinacate Middle School has one of the best sports program in Riverside County for both girls and boys with several championships? Not interested in sports, we also have CTE (Career in Technical Education) courses that consist of PLTW (Project Lead the Way) ranging from medical science exploration to exploring the world of engineering and computer programming through our Code.org. Th?ese courses are current and relevant in preparing your student for today’s jobmarket. We also have many clubs that your student may select to participate.

I look forward to the 2018-2019 school year and once again being of service to your family.

Sincerely,

Chakwan Jones
